Jennifer   (Mother)

For as far back as I can remember, dolls have always been a passion of mine. As a child, every year at Christmas and birthdays, I would receive several dolls. Even as a teenager, I would still request at least one doll for Christmas. I think my mother really enjoyed this tradition.

After I got married and started having children, I began to sew dresses for my little girls. I could not afford to buy them from the store, so I was forced to learn how to sew. I ended up having 4 daughters, much to my delight, and enjoyed making them matching dresses for every important occasion. After they outgrew this, I began to sew for their dolls. Then I became interested in artist dolls; particularly Himstedts. I never thought I would have the privilege of owning one of these fabulous dolls, but a couple of years ago my dream came true, and now I own several! It is with great pleasure that I design patterns and create these doll clothes for others to enjoy.

Alex (Daughter)

Most 20 year olds have better things to do than sew doll clothing..........not me! I have had a passion for dolls (including their clothes and accessories) for as long as I can remember. When I was younger I would spend a lot of time coming up with new things I wanted my mom to sew for my dolls. But three younger sisters who also wanted dolly clothes finally forced me to strike out on my own at the age of 14. I fell in love with Himstedts a couple of years ago and bought my first, Lisi. She has now been joined by Kiomi, Liska and Bunda. I hope to be "adopting" more of these wonderful children in the future, but until then (and after) I will be busy dreaming, drawing, drafting and sewing up new and unique creations for your "children" and mine!
